Pankaj Ghemawat

Pankaj Ghemawat is an Indian-American scholar of global strategy and management whose research examines how companies compete across borders and how globalization actually works in practice. He is known for developing the CAGE framework, which analyzes cross-country differences in Cultural, Administrative, Geographic, and Economic dimensions. Ghemawat has held academic appointments at leading business schools, including IESE Business School and New York University’s Stern School of Business. His writing and teaching focus on international strategy, global integration, and the limits and opportunities of operating in multiple markets. He is widely cited in discussions of globalization, distance, and multinational corporate strategy.
