Patrick Awuah

Patrick Awuah Jr. is a Ghanaian educator and entrepreneur best known as the founder and president of Ashesi University in Ghana. He established Ashesi to help educate ethical, entrepreneurial leaders and to expand access to high-quality higher education in West Africa. Awuah has been widely recognized for his work in advancing liberal arts–inspired education and leadership development in Ghana. Through Ashesi, he has promoted academic excellence, integrity, and community impact, and the university has become known for its emphasis on honor, critical thinking, and practical problem-solving. His career centers on building institutions that support social and economic progress through education.
