Paulina Porizkova

Paulina Porizkova (born Pavlína Pořízková, April 9, 1965) is a Czech-born Swedish-American model, actress, and writer. Raised in Sweden after leaving Czechoslovakia as a child, she became internationally known as a supermodel in the 1980s, notably appearing on the cover of *Sports Illustrated*’s Swimsuit Issue (1984). She later acted in film and television, including *Her Alibi* (1989), and served as a judge on *America’s Next Top Model*. As an author, she has written fiction and nonfiction, including the memoir *No Filter: The Good, the Bad, and the Beautiful* (2022), and is known for candid essays on aging, beauty, and identity.
