Pavan Sukhdev

Pavan Sukhdev is an Indian environmental economist and author known for advancing the economic case for nature and sustainability. He led the United Nations Environment Programme’s Green Economy Initiative and headed the TEEB (The Economics of Ecosystems and Biodiversity) study, which highlighted the value of ecosystems and biodiversity in economic decision-making. Sukhdev has written and spoken widely on reshaping business and policy to account for environmental and social costs. He is the author of *Corporation 2020*, a book that argues for transforming corporate practices to better align with long-term societal and ecological well-being.
