Peggy Noonan

Margaret Ellen “Peggy” Noonan was born in Brooklyn, New York. She attended Rutherford High School and Fairleigh Dickinson University. Early on in her career, she was a commentary writer for Dan Rather at CBS News. She also worked an overnight shift as a newswriter for a Boston radio station. In the late 1970s, she was a journalism professor at New York University. Her career in presidential politics began when she became the primary speech writer for Ronald Reagan. She also wrote speeches for George H. W. Bush, including his “Read my lips: no new taxes” speech. Noonan is now an author, news commentator, and Wall Street Journal columnist.
