Pete Cashmore

Pete Cashmore (born 1985) is a Scottish entrepreneur best known as the founder of Mashable, a digital media website focused on technology, digital culture, and social media. He started Mashable in 2005 and grew it into a widely read online publication. Cashmore has been recognized for his work in digital media and entrepreneurship, including being named to Time’s “100 Most Influential People” list. He is also the author of *Mashable: How to Be Social* (2013), a book that draws on Mashable’s experience to explain social media strategy and online engagement.
