Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar

Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar (1921–1990), also known by the spiritual name Shrii Shrii Anandamurti, was an Indian philosopher, spiritual leader, social reformer, and prolific author. He founded the socio-spiritual organization Ananda Marga and advanced the socio-economic theory PROUT (Progressive Utilization Theory). Sarkar wrote extensively on spirituality, ethics, society, and human development, and his teachings emphasized personal discipline, service, and a universal outlook. Through Ananda Marga, he promoted meditation practices and social welfare initiatives. His ideas continue to influence followers and organizations associated with Ananda Marga and PROUT in India and internationally.
