Ray Kurzweil

Ray Kurzweil (born 1948) is an American inventor, computer scientist, futurist, and author known for writing about artificial intelligence and the idea of a technological singularity. He is the author of *The Singularity Is Near*, a widely cited book that argues accelerating technological change will profoundly transform human life. Kurzweil has also written other books on computing and future technologies and is a prominent public speaker on these topics.
