Ricardo Flores Magon
Ricardo Flores Magón (1874–1922) was a Mexican anarchist, journalist, and revolutionary. With his brothers Jesús and Enrique, he helped lead the Mexican Liberal Party (Partido Liberal Mexicano, PLM) and became a central figure in the Magonista movement. Through his writing and organizing, he denounced the dictatorship of Porfirio Díaz and promoted radical social and labor reforms. Much of his political activity was carried out in exile in the United States, where he continued publishing and was repeatedly imprisoned for his activism. Flores Magón’s ideas and agitation influenced opposition to the Porfiriato and helped shape currents that fed into the Mexican Revolution.
