Richard Grenier

Richard Grenier (1933–2002) was an American journalist and conservative cultural critic. He served as an editor at *Commentary* magazine and later wrote as a columnist for *The Washington Times*. Grenier was known for essays and reviews that engaged literature, politics, and contemporary culture from a distinctly conservative perspective. His work often addressed the state of intellectual life and the arts, and he became a recognizable voice in late–20th-century American commentary. Over his career he contributed to public debate through magazine editing and newspaper columns, combining cultural criticism with political analysis. He died in 2002.
