Richard Pryor

Richard Pryor (1940–2005) was an American stand-up comedian, actor, and writer widely regarded as one of the most influential figures in modern comedy. Born in Peoria, Illinois, he drew on candid, often autobiographical material to address race, identity, and personal struggle with an unprecedented frankness that reshaped stand-up performance.
