Richie Sambora

Richard Stephen “Richie” Sambora (born July 11, 1959) is an American guitarist, songwriter, and producer best known as the lead guitarist of Bon Jovi. He joined the band in 1983 and co-wrote many of its best-known songs, helping shape the arena-rock sound of albums such as *Slippery When Wet* and *New Jersey*. Sambora’s melodic guitar work and harmonies became central to Bon Jovi’s live performances and recordings. He also released solo albums, including *Stranger in This Town* (1991) and *Undiscovered Soul* (1998). In 2018, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Bon Jovi.
