Rick Warren

Richard Duane “Rick” Warren (born 1954) is an American evangelical Christian pastor and author. He founded Saddleback Church, an evangelical megachurch in Lake Forest, California, and served as its senior pastor for decades. Warren is best known for writing *The Purpose Driven Life* (2002), a Christian devotional book that became a major bestseller and helped popularize “purpose-driven” ministry and discipleship programs in churches worldwide. He also wrote *The Purpose Driven Church* (1995). Warren has been active in global humanitarian and faith-based initiatives, including efforts focused on health, poverty, and education. He is associated with the Southern Baptist tradition.
