Robert A. Bradley

Robert A. Bradley Jr. (born 1948) is an American economist and energy-policy scholar known for his work on energy markets and regulation. He is associated with the Institute for Energy Research, where he has written on energy policy, political economy, and the history of energy industries. Bradley is the author of books and articles examining market processes in electricity and oil, and he has also written about Enron and what he characterizes as “political capitalism.” His writing frequently argues for competitive markets and critiques government intervention in energy. He has been a prominent commentator in debates over deregulation, corporate-state relationships, and the evolution of modern energy systems.
