Robert Sternberg

Robert J. Sternberg is an American psychologist known for influential research on human intelligence, creativity, wisdom, and love. He proposed the triarchic theory of intelligence, emphasizing analytical, creative, and practical abilities. Sternberg has held academic appointments at Yale University and other institutions, and he has served in major leadership roles in higher education. He was elected president of the American Psychological Association. Across his scholarly work, he has examined how people solve problems in real-world contexts and how cognitive abilities interact with experience and environment. He has also written widely used textbooks and numerous research articles and books.
