Rod Eddington

Sir Rod Eddington (born 1950) is an Australian businessman known for senior leadership roles in international transport and infrastructure rather than for literary work. He served as chief executive of British Airways and later held major chairmanships in the United Kingdom, including at the infrastructure group BAA and the retailer J Sainsbury. Eddington has also led public policy work on transport planning, producing the UK government’s “Eddington Transport Study” on the links between transport and economic growth. He has been recognised with a knighthood for services to the transport industry. His public profile comes chiefly from corporate governance and transport policy.
