Roseanne Barr

Roseanne Barr (born November 3, 1952) is an American comedian, actress, writer, and producer. She rose to prominence in the 1980s with her stand-up persona as a candid, working-class mother. Barr created and starred as Roseanne Conner in the ABC sitcom *Roseanne* (1988–1997), which became a major television hit and earned her an Emmy Award and a Golden Globe Award. She later returned to the role in the 2018 revival. Barr has also appeared in film and television projects outside the series and has written books. She has been credited as Roseanne Arnold during part of her career.
