Rupert Murdoch

Keith Rupert Murdoch (born 1931) is an Australian-born media proprietor who built a global newspaper, television, and publishing empire. After inheriting a small Adelaide newspaper company from his father, he expanded aggressively in Australia and the United Kingdom, later entering the United States market. Murdoch founded News Corporation and has served as its chairman, and he also founded Fox, which grew into a major American television network. His holdings have included prominent newspapers and broadcast outlets, making him one of the most influential figures in modern media. Though not primarily known as a literary author, Murdoch’s impact on journalism and public discourse has been widely debated.
