Sam Keen
Sam Keen (1931–2020) was an American author, lecturer, and cultural critic whose work explored psychology, masculinity, and the stories that shape public life. He gained wide recognition with *Faces of the Enemy* (1986), a study of how societies create images of opponents in war and politics. Keen later became known for *Fire in the Belly: On Being a Man* (1991), which examined modern manhood and personal transformation. He also wrote *To a Dancing God* (1970) and *Hymns to an Unknown God* (1983). Through books, talks, and workshops, Keen encouraged readers to question inherited myths and pursue self-knowledge.
