Samantha Barks

Samantha Barks (born 2 October 1990) is an English actress and singer. She first gained public attention as a finalist on the BBC talent show *I’d Do Anything* (2008). In 2010 she originated the role of Éponine in the West End production of *Les Misérables*, later reprising the part in Tom Hooper’s 2012 film adaptation. Barks has also appeared on stage in *Oliver!* and *Cabaret*, and played Vivian Ward in the West End musical *Pretty Woman*. Her screen work includes the films *The Christmas Candle* (2013) and *Interlude in Prague* (2017).
