Thomas Peters

Thomas J. Peters (born 1942) is an American writer and consultant known for his influential work on business management. He rose to prominence as the co-author, with Robert H. Waterman Jr., of *In Search of Excellence* (1982), a best-selling book that helped popularize the study of corporate culture and managerial practices in the United States. Peters later authored additional management titles, including *A Passion for Excellence* (with Nancy Austin) and *Thriving on Chaos*, and became a prominent speaker on leadership, innovation, and customer focus. His writing is associated with the “management guru” movement of the late twentieth century.
