Tina Fey

Tina Fey (born Elizabeth Stamatina Fey on May 18, 1970) is an American comedian, writer, producer, and actress. She rose to prominence at NBC’s *Saturday Night Live*, where she became head writer and later co-anchored “Weekend Update.” Fey created and starred in the sitcom *30 Rock*, earning major awards for her work on the series. She also wrote the screenplay for the film *Mean Girls* (2004) and appeared in numerous film and television projects. In 2011 she published the memoir *Bossypants*. Fey is known for sharp, character-driven comedy and influential contributions to modern American television satire.
