Todd Rundgren
Todd Rundgren (born June 22, 1948) is an American singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and record producer. Emerging from the late-1960s Philadelphia rock scene, he first gained attention with the band Nazz before launching a solo career marked by adventurous pop craft and studio experimentation. His 1972 double album *Something/Anything?* became a breakthrough, showcasing his songwriting range and hands-on approach to recording. Rundgren also formed and led the group Utopia, exploring progressive rock and later electronic styles. As a producer, he is noted for his work on Meat Loaf’s *Bat Out of Hell* and Badfinger’s *Straight Up*, among other projects.
