Tony Visconti

Tony Visconti (born 1944) is an American record producer, musician, and arranger. He is best known for his long collaboration with David Bowie, producing and co-producing multiple Bowie albums across several decades. Visconti also worked closely with the British rock band T. Rex, producing key recordings during the group’s early-1970s peak. Beyond these signature partnerships, he has produced and arranged for a wide range of artists, contributing to rock and pop recordings as both a behind-the-scenes studio architect and an active musical participant. His career is noted for detailed arrangements, inventive production choices, and a lasting influence on modern record-making.
