Young-Ha Kim

Kim Young-ha (김영하, born 1968) is a South Korean novelist and short story writer. He is known for fiction that has reached readers beyond Korea through translation. His debut novel, *I Have the Right to Destroy Myself*, helped establish his reputation, and he later published *Your Republic Is Calling You*, another widely discussed work. Across novels and shorter pieces, Kim has explored contemporary life and the pressures of modern society, often through tightly constructed plots and distinctive narrative voices.
