Being spiritual has nothing to do with what you believe and everything to do with your state of consciousness.

In Tolle’s framework, “belief” belongs to the conceptual mind—ideas that can become identity and ego—whereas “state of consciousness” points to the quality of awareness in the present moment: presence, non-reactivity, and a felt sense of being.
