When your will is God's will, you will have your will.

Interpretation
The saying expresses a classic theme in evangelical spirituality: true freedom and fulfilled desire come not from insisting on one’s own plans, but from having one’s desires reshaped to align with God’s purposes. In that state, “your will” is no longer a rival to God’s will; it has been conformed to it, so what you genuinely want is what God intends to give. The line also functions as a corrective to a purely transactional view of prayer—rather than bending God to our wishes, prayer and discipleship bend our wishes toward God. The paradox is that surrender becomes the path to satisfaction.
